Just to add a bit more info, my stock tires were 7.50-16s, listed as just under 32". 235/85-16s are typically about the same at 31.7"
My 255/85s are 33.23" tall per Cooper specs. My old 33/12.50-16.5 BFG AllTerrains were (IIRC) 32.3" tall.... or was that 32.8"? Pretty sure they were something less than 33" anyway.
Gotta agree with ya Mark, beefiness of wider tires is better visually with a lifted truck. Decisions, decisions.....
