Re: How did you mount your transmission cooler ?

My grandpa used the tube and fin style cooler on his '65, it is mounted on the outside of the frame next to the transmission. On my '66, I made a custom bracket and used a radiator style cooler with a draw through external fan. Trans is a 700r4 paired to an ls3, can give more info if yall want. The LS3 truck is for my grandma, but I will be making another one for the 700r4 and 383 in my '63. I am new to the forum, I can share pictures if somebody would be kind enough to tell me how. A lot of your decision will be based off of how much work you are willing to put into it, they all do the same thing at the end of the day. If you are wanting something that looks nicer and performs the best, take the route such as I did. If you want something that does the job well, stick to the tube and fin style cooler. It will do you just fine.
