I got the new 700r4 shift indicator off Ebay (crappy photo but I am too lazy to retake it...). It wasn't listed as an import but it is from Taiwan. It looks real nice and was packaged very professionally. I will have to compare it to the old unit when I remove it, to see how it compares robust wise. It does feel a bit on the fragile side... hut I have never held an OEM unit, so I really don't know for sure - or how much stress an indicator actually incurs, and where (other than the cable and spring) when in operation.
