I saw this video and followed it and it turned out pretty good.

I just left the connector as is and dunked it in the vinegar/salt solution and then used the smaller pipe cleaner from the cleaning kit I have for the airgun and then dunked it in the water/baking soda solution and coated with dielectric grease. Onto the next deal now.
