thanks, the truck had a 350 in it, previous owner pulled it out before selling the truck, so I put mine in. It is points system. The wiring in the new truck appears to basically match the wiring in the old truck. only difference being the type of oil pressure sensor, but that seems to be wired correctly.

the motor does try to turn, but no spark to the plugs.

where would the pinhole be, just anywhere in the rotor? we had pulled it when we pulled the motor, but were careful to mark it. we also disconnected from the old th350 first, then pulled, then dropped the motor in the new truck, put rotor back in, and then reconnected to tranny. Still, I'm wondering if it could be bad or damaged somehow.
