HotRodWorks.Com has a spacer that allows the swap. hotrodworks.com or by telephone 208.463.1068 (you can view the part @ http://hotrodworks.com/catalog/index...product_id=119) the website could be easier to navigate. It looks like the spacer is for pre-55 Chevy passenger cars. I contacted them directly for clarification; it's designed to fit these trucks. I haven't attempted the swap, hopefully this summer, if it ever stops raining here in Central Indiana. The transmission is about $200 used and the adapter is $160, a new clutch assembly under $150 (I hope).
