I agree on both, but definitely and upgrade from OE 80's technology and quality... and yes, a new master and adjustable proportioning valve would probably be in order...

I designed and built a big brake upgrade on my 72 K5 with a Dana 60 front axle. I used 2010 Dodge RAM 14" slip on rotors and 4 piston calipers. I did also swap in a rear disc axle and upgraded to hydroboost as well. I was lucky with the OE hub and made it all fit together. Haven't run the package yet but I have a version 2.0 that I'm thinking of that uses new hubs from Spintek with a different offset.
