Well, It's a difference of opinion. What you guys view as "patina" I view as rust and neglect. The same rust that will eat it's way through the panels and destroy the truck in a couple of years if it isn't taken care of.

This isn't a truck but the 52/53 Mercury has the real deal patina on it. Still almost nice original paint worn thin in a few places by years of polishing and waxing while being cared for by one owner for many of it's years. I knew the previous owner about 20 years ago and he kept it covered for years while driving it very little as the gas gauge didn't work.
The paint still shines, is worn through to the primer in a few spots but there is no signs of rust or neglect.


I'm just as broke as everyone else and have driven my 48 in primer longer than most guys on here are old and maybe that is why I am more than tired of the neglected look that some guys seem to think is so cool these days.
