They should have.
The switch just replaces one of the detent ball/spring retainer "plug bolt". Just screw out the original plug bolt, and thread the switch into the hole.

The switch activates a "4 wheel drive" light on/in the dash when you shift the transfer case into 4x4 range.
If a person desired they could easily use another switch in the other detent plug bolt hole for a "low range" indicator light.

BTW, I'm not absolutely sure I have the switch in the correct hole for a "4x4" indicator. I have to check that still to be sure. I just screwed it into the same hole the old one was in.
