BTW- Don't know if you have ever dealt with this era 3/4 ton 4x4, but front brake parts very hard to find.Took me a year to find everything needed. Happy to share sources, as would hate to see that cool original axle turned into a boat anchor for lack of some parts.

I’ve got no intention of scrapping the front axle. I’ve done a little digging into brake parts as I’m sure the wheel cylinders are going to be junk. Ive found some stuff in the older NAPA catalogs that are available online but ill certainly keep you in mind for sources when I get to that point and I appreciate your help. I have found a place that has seals and bearings for both the 44f and the Rockwell I’d be happy to share that if you could use it.

When I was taking those pics I noticed the date code on the tires was 1979.
