The actual cylinder is small. What you're seeing is the post, like a sleeve, around th cylinder. Once that's out then you can go after th cylinder

You can't do better than the voice of experience. Good luck with the process. I have no experience, so I'll say that screw's purpose is.... never mind, get the "real" answer. You don't need any more "internet" answers
