Interesting replies and thoughts. Some of us use a snorkel for other things... not to go fording.... but to go through trails and deep mud/water and incase the front drops really deep.... clutch in and evaluate...

Worked fine here...
Ramcharger took in water in motor but stayed running. Me... stayed running and no water issues...
