Back in the 70’s my dad had a few snapon tools that had been his dad’s and were purchased during the war years so they weren’t chrome plated. The 3/8” ratchet was bad about slipping and one day he asked the snapon guy if possibly there were parts available for that old ratchet. He took it out to his truck and returned it good as new right there on the spot. No charge.
Dad and i were proud of those old tools. Some time later our shop was broken into and we lost all our tools.
I guess snapon set the standard for warranties.
