EDIT: Now I see Lock Doc answered already. It's how I was taught  . We're Mid-Atlantic here in Maryland...and south of the Mason-Dixon Line. I'm sure now it was Curly who said it like that. Maybe an old cartoon or two also...like Bugs Bunny
