I can take some better pics this weekend. This is a before and after of the column. The after is not the best angle but you can tell how close to the dash it is.

If your running a small diameter steering wheel or if your not a great BIG ugly guy like me you may be okay without lowering the seat, it was really tight for me getting in and out. I only took about two inches out of the front of the seat bracket and three out of the back.

Lowering the seat also puts your knees in more of a bind which makes the ride less comfortable, which would deffinently be a consideration at 6'6'' tall..... I'm only 6'1''
