Very possible. I didn't think about that. Worn bushings and hinge pins in combination with a maladjusted striker could cause problems, but then the door would also be difficult to close. I imagine someone 88 yo would use the door to support themselves as well. Fortunately I'm not at that point yet although I am of age to collect my SS.
