It's the complete unit with part of a drive shaft cut off. There is no module that operates it from what I can see in the owners manual. It looks like a switch, a 12volt relay& wiring.The switch has 2 buttons 1 used to split hi & low for the gear that your in & the other changes it to overdrive. The Suburban body was rotted out so it was stripped of it's big block & drive train.before I bought it so I don't know about the mileage, but I opened the side case drained the fluid & everything looks fine.
