The main body of the starter is still good. the end frame has a cracked "ear" and the solenoid was broken and loose. I have it being rebuilt, I hope to hear from them today. The quote i got was $35. for the cast frame. and then what another $40. for the added work?

So I will see. Im just trying to keep this ol' dog as close to what orginal as i got it in. You know the old saying if its not broke dont fix it. I learned that a long time ago. If it is working why tear it all apart. atleast not yet that is...
