I find that posting each little project I do helps keep eager for the next step. I don't really have a build thread but a list of projects completed. Makes it nice to look back and be reminded of how much has been finished. Not just staring at all the stuff yet to do. Having a friend locally to talk to helps. But the number one motivation for me is driving it. Makes all the past heartaches worthwhile.
If the sins of the previous owner are getting you down read my WMB thread below it may make you feel better.
