Got a little work done after work today. 4 bolts holding the old, twisted, rear step bumper on. Put the hand wrenches to them and broke 3 of the 4 bolts off! Cool! The last one was a oddball/round head bolt, couldn't get a wrench on it. Got out the trusty grinder and took care of that! Bam! bumper on ground! I can't believe the PO and the bondo on this K5, chunks of it a 1/2" thick in places. Chipped a lot of it away, kinda sad, big pile of rubble on the ground! That's ok, cause it's getting better every day! I love ripping this thing apart! Gonna go and start ordering up some parts from WES tonight.
