I used Simple Green to degrease it (it wasn’t very greasy to begin with) then used Van Sickle spray paint. Van Sickle is an oil based farm and implement paint and more durable than paints like Rust-Oleum. It tough as nails and doesn’t fade or get eaten off by fluids like brake fluid, etc. Not sure if you get either of these products in Sweden.
