$500 is a great price for the good parts, but factor in what it will cost to get rid of the rest of the hulk. If it is a big Class A, the axles are not much good for anything other than another MH. The wheels will be 19in. If it is a Class C (Van front) the rear will be a Dana 60 or 70 and can be used under a pick-up.
I have delt with one before, and getting rid of the junk is difficult and/or expensive. It will be aluminum on the outside, but glued to wood. So it is not easy to recycle it. One Million screws hold it together, and with the age, not many people will be interested in the parts from the home portion.
However, if you have the room on your property to use it as storage, it may work out just fine.
