Lol! That's it. I believe it's called a thermal switch and is used for the TCS system for 1972 at least. Other years also? It lives in the RH cylinder head.
Yea I have one of those. It runs the mechanical fan which robs 30 h.p. from the motor.

LOL I just guess I will be running a sleeper block, painted orange with the original tin to make up for that.
