Forgive me if you have already taken this into account. Make sure you keep a close eye on the plates for cracking. It was a formed piece of steel and you have reformed it. Steel has limits as to how far and how many times it can be deformed. Most likely you will be OK, but only time or some form of nondestructive testing will tell.
