I've been looking to an IFS for my 54 also.
In all my research, the upper hat is welded slightly rearward of the centerline. This sets your caster angle.
Moving the A arm in and out sets your camber.
Rotating the A arm as such, can fine tune the caster and camber.
By the looks of it, yours is fine.
Is there a problem with the T bolts not holding?
