You just can't compare new vehicle technology with the level in our trucks....that's just the way it is.
The newer vehicles are drastically safer and improved in so many ways that we now take for granted. They are faster, quieter, better built, safer, more economic, more powerful.....sigh....simple fact of life.
That said tho'....one thing they are not is unique, cool or overly interesting or individual in appearance, or even good looking for that matter.
That is why we are all here sharing the classic truck hobby.....and not the 2012 Toyota Camry blog....lol, and hopefully there isn't one of those.
If you stand back the next time you are at parking lot is amazing how similar the cars all look now....and how 90% of them are all even in the same color group...ie: silver, white or black.
On top of that...the appearance as defined by everyone reaching the same wind tunnel conclusions....which is increasingly potato shaped.
Nothing quite as boring as a road full of silver potatoes.....(but they are safer)...lol
