I welded mine up and put a 1/4" steel washer on the inside of the frame and welded that in. I then replaced the outer bracket with 1/4" steel. (4x4) But could be done with 2x4 too. Then a nice grade 8 bolt and no stud necessary.
They will never waller out again.
