After I wired my 700r4 I learned a few things. The lock-up will happen once you enter fourth gear unless you've got a speed sensor of some kind. I would add a toggle switch to allow youself to engage the lock-up at will in fourth gear. Can't help you out with the 2004r questions but it's not all that complicated. Use a fused ignition souce also.
