There is no excuse for 7 calls to get an answer or smart-ass replies to a customer. Doesn't matter which day of the week or what time it is. It's easy to train someone to say "we're about to close and you have detailed questions. Here's a good time to call. Ask for...." And if the training doesn't work then you change their work assignment. Possibly to an offsite, unsupervised, unpaid search for an as-yet, unidentified employer.
