Door post switch too long

I ordered new post switches for my 72 C20 rebuild, and they looked a little off when I was done. They had already been a PITA, as on install, the switch ran out of threads at the end, spinning in the door post instead of torqueing up. Pulled the switch, the threads stopped about 1/8 inch before the shoulder flange. Weird. Anyway, put a thin washer in place and they torqued up. Then I closed the door super slow. Spidey senses tingling. Sure enough, the door was 4-6 inches from closed when the switch plunger bottomed out.

Anyone with a 72 out there with a good source for the door post switch? I know what doesn't work! I'll post a pic of the box, when I get back to the shop.

Thanks!
