Two things,

1) watch closely that they aren't using cheap stuff on the accessories. Performance aluminum intake just screams Chinese knock off. I'd feel a lot better if it had the word Holley, Edelbrock, or Weiand in front of it. If they go cheap on something like that, they're gonna go cheap on everything.

2) you can sit down with a Summit catalog and kill that price by a long shot and assemble top of the line components to complete the long block. I'm talking Edelbrock intake and other name brand stuff. The engine is only 1400 dollars itself. In Weatherford Texas, you'll find Phoenix Transmission which is a world caliber trans shop. They will sell you a top of the line Th350 for about 1000 with all of the trick and pretty stuff on it. They are the guys that build the transmissions for the big guys like Treypanier and Boyd (R.I.P).
