I am not sure that the output shaft on a stock 700r4 4wd trans will fit the older 205. I could be wrong, but something you would need to check first.
Also when moving the engine forward on a 4wd make sure the oil pan and cross member clear the front differential when the springs compress. It probably can be done, but I believe the reason the 4wd V8's sit back is to clear the front diff.
