Lots of good advice on this forum and congrats on your truck .... i have a 454 in my truck as well .. and it Over heats too ... when I'm cruising/moving it's fine .... haven't really gotten to fully address it yet cause I don't drive truck that much and work a lot ... I have an alum rad and new water pump just haven't put them in ... anyways .... (good advice Iv gotten here) what I have done is move my temp sensor from next to the header over to where the water pump is for a more accurate reading .... and Iv put my fans on a manual switch .
