Re: 70 K10 the Teal Deal

Finally got the motor all wrapped up and installed with a new clutch, flywheel, and throw-out bearing. Added a Bosch Tach, some ZDP for zinc content and fired it up, and did the break-in for 20 minutes at 2000 rpm. The motor ran great. Also had to loop the water line to the heater core since it was leaking. Got that on the order list and will do the heater core install next.

Here are the new items installed on the rebuilt long block:
  • AC Delco water pump and thermostat
  • pulleys
  • fan
  • belts
  • hoses
  • spark plugs and wires
  • distributor cap, rotor, and condenser
  • coil
  • vacuum hoses
  • fuel pump
  • air cleaner and filter
  • carburetor
  • American Autowire engine harness
  • battery and cables
  • coolant overflow reservoir
  • exhaust pipe and muffler
