Lots of things can happen over time, who knows why the front was swapped. Plenty of folks prefer the 67-68 front, I’d bet someone liked that front better. Or that was the cheapest option after a front end crunch.
Either way, nice start. Your paint looks better than my 5 color pile of parts!
