I don't know 12-7-41 was a dozen years before I hit the ground, but I grew up learning the significance of Pearl Harbor and WW2. They were still fighting the war on TV and the movies all through the 1950s and 1960s.

I still have never owned a Japanese car. The name "Mitsubishi" still prickles me.
