On our trucks where we have flip kitted the rear, we have essentially moved the shock attach point up the same amount as the drop (usually 6 inches). I have researching shock data to try and find a suitable shock and many places list the extended and collapsed lengths. Would this theory apply in this example below?

Stock (rear):
Extended: 23.26" Collapsed: 14.23 Stroke: 9.03"

For a 6" lowered rear suspension and NO shock extenders, would you look for a shock with 6" removed from each of these numbers? That would be a very short shock in the collapsed position.

I need to get my notches done and do a full extension/full retraction test and see where the numbers lie and shoot for a shock that has the range I'm looking for. I have found that when you start looking at shorter length shocks, the shaft sizes and body diameters shrink also, and that's not good on a truck.
