Update: I have been thinking on what route to take the project, as of now I am going to clean up the engine bay and detail it (paint) and make the inside cab nice. The outside will probably be left as is, some minor tweaks, It will be far from original but fun and nice truck. picked up some high temp paint to get going on the inline six. I used degreaser and then oven cleaner to get it as clean as possible. i chose orange (from auto zone)as I like the older engines in this color, I understand it is not the original color
some shot of how dirty it was and some shots of one coat, this paint really covers well, I did the whole first coat with half of the can!I am painting the engine on the bay as it is not leaking and running great so I will not be taking it out, by no means a professional paint job. i will be getting some new cables, sparks, etc so not concern on overspray
