10 bolt axles in a 12 bolt truck rear end? Use the correct axles. Mixing parts usually ends up in failure. The longer axle shafts will not ride in the correct spot for the bearings and wear all wonky. I purchased a set of Moser 5 lug conversion axles to use in my 1969 housing. They are the correct length.
