I doubt there are more than 2-3 manufacturers. I have bought several regulators over the years for 69 pickup, 55 car, and now 82 pickup. Each was from a different vendor, but all worked just fine. I'd suggest a reputable company with a decent return policy, like LMC Truck, ClassicParts.com, or Brothers Trucks.

I just remembered this: Be sure to check with GMCPaul. He's a member here and has been selling truck parts for many years. I always heard good things about him on the 67-72 forums.
