Either option is a great addition (barn doors or liftgate) The ones recommended in the other link are a bit more expensive but we know they will work and support the load. We are going to try the Rock Auto struts on GCBURDIC's Burb and my Blazer to see how good they work on the heavier liftgates. GCBURDIC already has the ball studs. I just have to take him an extra set of the struts I bought. So updates will be coming soon.
