I don't want to hijack the tread but....
Do you know if the movement at the slip yoke is less than or the same as it would be on a one piece drive shaft?
I am considering a 5.3/6L80 swap but the 6L80 is a 4x4 tranny. A camaro tailpiece will bolt in place of the transfer case but the splines on the output shaft are shorter than a standard 2wd driveshaft so there isn't as much room for the slip as there is in a 2wd. The full conversion from a 4wd to 2wd requires a full disassembly of the transmission to change out the shaft which is kind of pricey.
