yes im sure its factory sending unit and all it is to well constructed to be anything else they call it a "40" gal but must b closer to 50 it has a trough through center to go over frame member and if you get hit hard enough by any lesser grade vehicle you will have more pressing concerns than fire like halo adjustment 101 and beginers harp
