Thanks for the reply. Any recommendations on where to buy a new one? It seems like most of the places I find are charging an arm and a leg for driveshafts meant to stand up to baja races. Anyone on here have one for sale, preferably near Iowa?

Seems like a driveline shop could weld a new male side of the slip joint to the tube, and I could buy a new female side of the slip joint and possibly save some cash (and have more luck finding parts). Anyone ever done that?
