My 69 short bed had some rust in the arch of the wheel well.

I welded it up and the weld was where the flat arch goes into the curve of the bed.

I will end up taking it to a pro as it is whooping me badly.

I feel like I have used a gallon of filler one spoonful at a time trying to get the flat part flat/straight the the roll arched correctly.

I may end up buying the replacement panel and cutting a section out and then be able to line up the body lines welding into a more workable area.

Any ideas without actual pictures?
