Anyone know for positive if the winch brackets mount inside or under the frame rails?
I thought it was going to mount inside the frame and the brackets would set on the frame rail and then I could jockey it around to where it fits with the bumper. No go. I got it up in there but it seems getting both brackets up in there is not going to happen. Plus, I studied the brackets and it looks like I see the frame lines on top of the front bracket and some washer/bolt marring on the bottom. Which would indicate a bottom of the frame mount. If it mounts on the bottom, I need to make a cradle for my jack and get the winch jacked tight to the frame and clamp it up there somehow to figure where to drill mounting holes. The winch is heavy but I got it in there by myself with a jack.
Anyhow, any help appreciated!
Rear bracket on inside of frame, not possible to get the front bracket inside as well. When attached to the winch anyway.
