Don't think its the fans, actually think the bottom hose is caving in. Going to put new hose and might as well get new pump while I'm at it. I use a '71 pump on an '89 motor for direction with v-belts.
Thanks for all your help, I'll let you know the outcome. Might even change sending unit, not a big fan of throwing parts at a problem, dad taught me to always go back to the basics when it was running well.
