My wife's 99 Tahoe has a similar problem. She cranks over, runs for a second and dies. It seems to only happen 2 times a year. It never runs bad. I'll replace the plugs and wires. When I do the fuel cap, should I go OEM? The dealership says , but I don't want it to fail CA. SMOG either. Sorry to thread jack Daniel
