Re: AD Truck Project

Thanks 1950 GMC. I have been reading every thread I can for knowledge and inspiration.

Friday I took off half a day to have the plumbers come by and to enjoy one of the last few decent days before it starts getting colder.

Somewhere along the way my 5 window cab received a motorcraft electric wiper motor. It was bolted to the main support for the dash, behind the gauges.

Today it was nice again, so I pulled out the swing pedal that had been sorta welded to the same dash brace, and then cut out the firewall where someone had hacked it up putting the booster mount through. I then mocked up my grill shell with the fenders.

You can kinda see where I cut out the bad spot on the firewall. The plans for the firewall is to shave any unneeded holes.

I forgot to mention my frame, 3 window cab, and bed are about 100 miles away. One day I hope to get the major pieces all in the same place.
