Jimmy, part of my problem is I'm not sure of the length. When I got the 65 a PO had installed a V8 in the forward position. He then modified (that's being nice, hacked is more like it) the clutch linkage, floor, etc. to work in the wrong position. I put the engine in the rear position where its supposed to be.

Long story short the rod that was in the truck is now way too short. I did a quick measurement & a best guess is around 12" (give or take) should work.
